Challenge

Many engineers had expertise in traditional instruction sets like ARM but lacked experience with RISC-V. They needed a structured, hands-on learning path to transition smoothly and effectively into the RISC-V ecosystem.

Solution

We created a modular, immersive training program that blended theory with real-world applications. The program included:

  • Developing an FPGA-based AI accelerator for object recognition.
  • Deploying RISC-V safety cores to simulate fault-tolerant systems.
  • Exploring safety standards for autonomous systems.

Participants worked with RISC-V tools to tackle use cases ranging from automotive inference engines to resilient battery cooling systems.

Results

  • Engineers gained practical RISC-V experience in high-impact domains.
  • Participants enhanced skills in using RISC-V relevant technology for safety-critical systems.
  • The training aligned their skills with current industry demands, enhancing both individual career paths and organizational innovation capacity.
